Commvault and Hewlett Packard Enterprose Partner to Deliver Commvault’s Industry-Leading Healthcare Data Management and Protection Solutions to HPE Healthcare Customers
Commvault (@commvault), a global leader in enterprise backup, recovery, archive and the cloud, announced a strategic partnership with Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) to deliver Commvault healthcare solutions to HPE customers. Through this reseller agreement announced today, HPE and its global network partners will now be selling fully integrated and pre-validated versions of Commvault’s portfolio of healthcare solutions on HPE infrastructure. Human API collaborates with CMS to launch new FHIR-based API for 53 million Medicare patients
As digital health care evolves, data becomes an important resource that patients can use to improve health outcomes for themselves, and as part of research groups. This has driven the need for easier data interoperability and the development of new patient-centric data sharing models. This week at HIMSS 2018, Human API (@Human_API), the largest patient-centric health data network, announced a collaboration with the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to make the new CMS Blue Button 2.0 API available through the Human API data network. This collaboration will enable millions of Medicare patients to connect and authorize the sharing of their longitudinal claims information with new providers, clinical researchers, and digital health services.

Health AI Startup Medial EarlySign Raises $30M to Help Healthcare Organizations Prioritize Patient Populations for Most Effective Intervention
Medial EarlySign (@MedialEarlySign), a leader of machine-learning based solutions to improve patient management and non-communicable disease management, announced completion of a $30 million Series B round of financing, bringing the company’s total funding to $50 million. HIMSS acquires Healthbox to get in the innovation consulting game
HIMSS (@HIMSS) on Friday revealed that it has acquired Healthbox for its innovation consulting and fund management services. “Healthcare organizations look at us asking if we can help them think through concepts around digital health or how to bring innovation into their systems,” said Hal Wolf, HIMSS CEO. Healthbox, in fact, specializes in two sets of services: innovation consulting and fund management.

Hyland to acquire OneContent business from Allscripts
Hyland (@hyland) has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the OneContent business from Allscripts, a provider of healthcare information technology solutions. The deal is expected to close in the second quarter, once customary closing conditions are satisfied. Upon transaction close, the OneContent client base and associates will transition to Hyland.
