MGMA Preconference Sessions
MGMA 2012 is little more than three months away. The convention will be held in San Antonio, Texas October 21 – 24, drawing thousands to the city’s famed Riverwalk. Conference exhibitors are lining up including Allscripts, athenahealth, Greenway Medical, NextGen and others. A check of the convention site also shows a number of new additions since our last post. Preconference workshops have also now been scheduled for October 20 and 21 and include a line up of popular industry leaders and authors. Both general and Specialty preconference workshops will be offered.
Two general preconference workshops focus on strategy and process for improving the bottom line.

Workshop: Mastering Patient Flow: Train Your Office for Success
Presenter: Elizabeth W. Woodcock, MBA, FACMPE, CPC
Back by popular demand, Woodcock will lead this session on improving practice operations.
Five Specialty preconference workshops are offered this year, all offering CPE credits and ACMPE hours. These Specialty pre-conferences are designed to “foster collaboration and dialogue among specialty peers in a focused, intimate and personalized environment.”
