Meaningful Use Objectives and Measures Webinar
The CMS final rule on defining meaningful use, clinical quality objectives and measures, and descriptions of incentive programs has been released. The rule is expected to be published in the Federal Registry this week. Our newest series of webinars will cover this rule along with the supporting final rule from ONC on the initial set of standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria for EHRs.
In the CMS final rule, an Eligible Professional must be a meaningful users of a certified EHR system to receive incentive payments. The proposed rules identified 25 objectives to meet meaningful use. The final rules have identified basically the same objectives but have split them into two sets. To meet meaningful use, an EP must demonstrate a set of 15 core objective and chose 5 additional objectives from the Menu set of 10 objectives. In our first Webinar of the series, Eligible Professionals (EP) Meaningful Use Final Objectives and Measures for Stage 1 2011, each of the 25 EP objectives and measures are discussed. The objectives and measures are the foundation of meaningful use for all EPs. It is essential to be familiar with all of the objectives during EHR selection and then during implementation.
