Clinigence, a next-generation clinical business intelligence technology provider, announced it will offer Physician Quality Reporting System (PQRS) reporting capabilities to users of Spring Medical Systems’ SpringCharts electronic health record (EHR) system. This new capability is an extension of the current alliance between the vendors, which provides Clinigence’s clinical reports to SpringCharts EHR users.

Apixio Inc., provider of Big Data analytic and clinical data integration for healthcare, and Dell are collaborating to offer solutions that enable healthcare systems to improve performance management and reporting.  Dell plans to host Apixio’s big data stack in its data center so that Dell’s clients can reap the benefits with minimal change to their IT infrastructure and data governance.

MEDENT has added Surescripts’ Basic Messaging and Communications product to its suite of services available to more than 7,000 healthcare providers currently using MEDENT’s certified EHR, patient portal and practice management system. Surescripts Basic Messaging and Communications is a subscription service that allows patient-specific protected health information to be instantaneously and securely transmitted between healthcare providers, leading to increased efficiency, informed care decisions, better patient outcomes, and lower healthcare costs.

Based on Practice Fusion’s nationwide electronic medical record (EMR) platform covering 64 million patients, Insight draws from the most robust and comprehensive clinical dataset available, providing partners unprecedented insight into the healthcare landscape.

athenahealth is now rated the most usable ambulatory electronic medical record system by health care providers, according to a new KLAS report on Ambulatory EMR Usability, released today. As part of their research KLAS interviewed 163 providers on topics related to the useability of their EMR systems as well as the roles that those systems and their vendors play in helping providers to become more product, advance clinical decision making and to collect Meaningful Use payments.

eHealth Technologies and HealtheConnections, the Regional Health Information Organization (RHIO) of Central New York, have gone live with eHealth Connect® Image Exchange integrated with their new, Mirth HIE platform. MEDHOST announced that Boone Memorial Hospital (BMH) in Madison, W. Healthland has announced that Washington’s Ocean Beach Hospital has selected the Healthland Centriq electronic health record (EHR) solution.Ocean Beach Hospital and Medical Clinics is an integrated healthcare organization committed to providing high quality, patient-focused care for its growing coastal community. Located, in Ilwaco, Wash., the critical access hospital’s wide range of medical services includes emergency care, wellness programs, orthopedic surgery and cardiac rehabilitation.

IGI Health’s Orbit® Patient Portal version 6.0 has been tested and certified under the Drummond Group’s Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Certification Body (ONC-ACB) program. The EHR software is compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.

NextGen announced that its NextGen Electronic Dental Record (EDR) version 4.3 is compliant with the ONC 2014 Edition criteria and was certified as a Complete EHR by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an ONC-ACB, in accordance with the applicable Eligible certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). The ONC 2014 Edition criteria support both Stage 1 and 2 meaningful use measures required to qualify eligible providers and hospitals for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA).
