Highmark executive Michael Fiaschetti Appointed to Board of Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority
Michael Fiaschetti of Harrisburg, president of commercial markets for Highmark Inc., has been appointed to the board of directors of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority. He was appointed by Senate President Pro Tempore Joe Scarnati (R-25th) upon the recommendation of Senate Minority Leader Jay Costa (D-43rd). The Authority, established through legislation approved in July 2012, is charged with creating the ability for medical providers to securely exchange medical information electronically.
Stakeholders elect ex-officio members to Board of Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority
Stakeholders of the Pennsylvania eHealth Partnership Authority recently elected two ex-officio members to the Authority’s board of directors. Martin Ciccocioppo of Middletown, vice president for research at the Hospital & Health Association of Pennsylvania (HAP), and Kelly Lewis of Mechanicsburg, president of the Allied HIE Company, were elected at the Authority’s plenary meeting in October. Ciccocioppo will serve a two-year term and Lewis one year. They round out the board, which has 15 voting members.
WEGO Health Announces the Hire of Ross Fetterolf, SVP of Innovation
WEGO Health (www.wegohealth.com), an online network of consumer health opinion leaders, announced the hire of Ross Fetterolf as Senior Vice President of Innovation. Fetterolf will assume the role of the product director on WEGO Health’s latest product offering, Truvio, the first influencer-powered, voice-response mobile research platform in healthcare. He will also provide support in the areas of strategy and analytics, while looking to develop the next wave of products that connect WEGO Health’s community of patient influencers to healthcare organizations and issues.
Healthland’s Schoenrock Named to HIMSS Population Health Task Force
Chris Schoenrock, Vice President of Market Development for Minneapolis-based Healthland Inc., has been named a member of a new Population Health Task Force of HIMSS – the Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society. Healthland is a leading provider of healthcare information technology solutions to rural community and critical access hospitals.
The Population Health Task Force is an extension of the HIMSS Clinical and Business Intelligence initiative intended to provide members practical guidance and unbiased information about how to harness the power of healthcare data. It will help develop the strategies, tools and resources surrounding data and analytics that will help healthcare organizations execute population health management initiatives.
Kareo Hires Amyra Rand as Vice President of Sales
Kareo, Inc., a leading provider of cloud-based medical office software and services for small medical practices, announced that it has hired Amyra Rand as Vice President of Sales. She brings over 15 years of experience building world class technology and service sales teams for high-growth companies. In this new role, Rand joins the Kareo leadership team and will lead the ongoing growth of the company’s sales organization.
